Hey everyone,

I have an old buddy coming in from Sweden next week and was wondering what was going on (other than Soilwork :p) next Wed-Fri nights. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know--I can't seem to find much of anything myself.

Nothing I can think of thats noteworthy. Tonight is Celtic Frost at the Masq though. Seems like there isn't much going on for the rest of the year before or after BG at the Roxy, thats power/prog metal related.

Hah. Do they tend to be really bad, or? I haven't gone to any local shows since I've been here.

Yes, the shows are terrible, but that isn't even the worst part. The place is crawling with 14-year old "scene" kids who don't seem to really know anything about music, and just hang out there every night of the week as some sort of rebellion or something. Sorry to make such a blanket statement, but that's what I've seen from the few shows I've been to there and it's what I'm told is the case. That and the venue itself is a real crap-hole. Anyway, do yourself a favor and don't ever go there.

well, if it was the 4th (Saturday) I'd say to come out and watch the.Lost.Hatter and his band Eclipsed by Sanity storm the stage along with Worlds End at The 7 Venue in Douglasville. :kickass:

I'll keep an eye out for you otherwise.

Yeah, I remembered that, then saw that it was Saturday. Thanks a lot. ;) Seriously, it is a shame. One of these days, I'll make it out to see them... don't know if it'll be the Saturday after I've been partying with a Swede, though. ;)

James--the Cult is a definite possibility... I didn't see that, or I certainly would've taken notice. Don't know if I can handle Nashville Pussy. ;) But thanks for the heads-up!

Hehe, person flies in all the way from Sweden to see Soilwork!!

That's like flying to Ireland to drink Bud....

Shaye, Skid Row and King's X are also playing with Nashville Pussy Friday night at Center Stage if that makes any difference...

What's the running order for that show? I'd expect Skid Row to play last......

On the Skid Row site, it appears that it's primarily a Skid Row/King's X tour, with Nashville Pussy only appearing in select cities. I agree with you that Skid Row would probably play last. Rockets to Ruin is also on the bill for the Center Stage show, so my guess is Rockets, then NP, then King's X, then Skid Row; the Rockets to Ruin site says that doors don't open until 8, with the show (presumably them) starting at 9...seems like a late start time for a show with four bands on the bill, though.

Thank you, every word you said about Swayze's is 100% true.

Other than Soilwork, can't really suggest anything for the 1st-3rd :Smug: :erk:

That's right... forgot about that. I think Linda showed me that like a month ago. My memory's not what it was. ;) not a big King's X fan, but I'd love to see Skid Row again. Will just have to see what my visitor is up to. :)

The poor little thing was all tuckered out :D, so we decided to skip tonight. We may be up for Skid Row and King's X Friday though, judging by his reaction... "both of them? playing the same place?" lol Who all's going to that?
