Hesher-this is a Philadelphia-area term used to describe someone who listens to metal or thrash music. It is short for "Hessian"-that is, that sort of reliable German troop the American colonies so depended on to win the American Revolution. In addition to being a musical interest, hesher is also a style, one featuring acid-washed pants, long hair on both boys and girls, denim or leather jackets covered with band names and pictures of hostile skulls of dead people and beasts. The girls usually give themselves a heavy application of mid-80's-style makeup after bleaching and perming their hair.

sorry I didnt pick up on the sarcasm, I always take you to be serious. The term was passed down from older Hesher to me, so I really wouldnt know about its true origin.

yeah, went from sweden to canada...sounds to me like you sure like being in the freezer. as far as my masturbatory habits, yes they mirror my musical taste: furious blasts of grotesque yet short lived brutality, usually coupled with imperceptible grunts and growls.

Haha, as in hippies? Yes, their ideals are very far to the left. Not all of them are dreaded, in fact most of them Ive seen are have chaos spikes and charged hair. The music is just as heavy, if not heavier than thrash. Check out crust bands like Doom and Dezerter.
