W00T!?? Who wants to be "owned" by the state!??
Nothing can possibly be worse (except not living at
all)! >:eek:P

But c'mon, we were all moving up to Sweden to help
Vintersorg out, so he could write more music... What
we really need to do is move to Sweden, get proper
jobs, pay all our money to Vintersorg PLUSS do all
the other stuff we promised! >) hehehe....

And Vintersorg; I understand what you mean. I do
not picture you as a cheap guy! What you do is give
from yourself, on every album, every liveshow etc.
Nothing but respect from my side.

I honestly don't see how you people do it. When I get
home from work I am too tired to do pretty much
anything... Being creative is not even an option! hehe.

That's it. We have to gather our forces and MOVE! lol!

Blackspirit,
before it was something called Diktergasje or something. Poets were paid by the state, but not owned by the state. They got freedom to work without concerning about the money...
But just the popular ones got it, so you really had to work hard to get it, but anyway vintersorg is popular... hehe, so the Swedish State should pay him good.

Yeah, but do you really think it was that easy? I might
be paranoid, but I feel it's the same as it is with
journalism. You get big advertising money from a
company, then something negative happens with it.
If you print a story about it they threaten to take back
the advertising money, and if you don't print it you are
not doing what's right towards your readers as you are
supposed to enilighten them and tell them EVERYTHING
that's going on.

I just feel it's the same thing. If you get money from the
state, you have to use them on their conditions in some
cases...

Though it's a brilliant idea, if it worked out >) But it
couldn't cause it would be the taxmoney from all the
people. And people not into metal would NOT like it >:eek:P

Yeah, and would you like that? I know I'd HATE it if the
state payed anything to a band I don't like... There
was a lot of fuzz when Immortal got a moneygift from
the Norwegian state. They got to spend it on what they
wanted, but I remember a lot of christians going nuts
over it.

There is no way, people have to chose themselves if
they think the music is good enough to pay for it.
I know _I_ think art/music is a very important thing, but
not everybody thinks that way. I know we need better
hospitals for instance, before we need to pay Immortal
to go touring in the eastern countries! >:eek:P

Yes, I agree.. those Hip Hop motherfuckers would also like some money if Metal musicians got money and so on...

But at least the state could delete all taxes on musical instruments! If this state wants to show that they appreciate music, then they should do like they do on Iceland. There they have no taxes on music instruments because they think this gives people a chance to explore the artist in themself...

It's sick that you're punished because you buy a guitar... I think the state takes 30% of what the guitar costs...

I think the problem (or the fact) is, that few people listen to metal. That brings the advantage that metal is not as commercial as other styles (imagine a Vintersorg - Video, Mr. V wearing Nike-Shoes and a Tommy-Hilfiger-Shirt - uaaaaaghhh), but the bands can´t live from their music.

Earning the income with music won´t be easy, even if nobody would download mp3´s, it´s just a matter of promotional support by TV- or Radiostations, Metal does not fit into the program, no clothing-company wants to have long-haired-metal-bands as promotional icon, so there´s no money. Metal does not fit into the clean, political correct, trendy heaven of promotional directors.

I´m downloading mp3´s altough I totally agree with Mr. V, because a colleague and I together run a radio show on a free radio station, and playing only my own, bought cds would reduce our programm to my personal taste, and up to now we could not convince any label to provide promotional stuff. If I really like the downloaded music, I´m buying the cd, which is impossible in Austria, so i´ll have to order it at Nuclear Blast or Napalm Records, but sometimes even they don´t supply the Cd´s I´d like to order....

Audio-Galaxy got me into a lot of Bands I didn´t listen too, but I became a Vintersorg-Fan because of the Life-Performance! I´m going to buy the new Vintersorg for sure, probably then he´ll be able to do some live-gig in Austria again.

Fuck The Commerce!

Anyone that knows how to change yer E-mail in AG? They say that my mail ain´t secure, prolly coz it is eudoramail, so I was going to change it, but I can´t find where

-phyros ( Ohhhh jag e så dum i huvet! )

Dont get me wrong here...im not saying i would like it if other bands like hip-hop and the like got money from the state also...im just saying that if one style of music should get it then the others would bitch and so all would have to get it or none......that way a possible happy medium could be reached...blah blah blah....but fuck it what do i know!!

W00T?!?? I didn't know about that!!! But it's the same
with everything. Taxes on cd's as well. And if you buy
from other countries you have to pay extra to the state.
So there is no way you can save any money >:eek:P

Seems cool what Iceland has done! Let's hope there
will be some great Icelandic metalbands popping out in
not too long >) Hehe...

Yeah, but I doubt it will be as widespread as
audiogalaxy, as it had pretty much everything!
We'll see though... I wonder what will happen
now! I know my musiclife will be quiet for a
few days at least... Though I rediscovered
mIRC again yesterday ) I think the mp3
channels will blossom now >;oP
