Not sure yet! Was browsing local stuff and came across an amp that looked suspiciously familiar... then I realized it's the Burson you currently have
Ended up reading a thread over on Headfi about it and within it learned of CEntrance's stuff. The Dacmini CX looks like a good combo dac/amp.. or perhaps the dacport LX with a separate amp.

Good luck racking your fucking brains on Head-Fi. As you know, one thing leads to another....it never ends. Information overload.
I have the Burson Soloist. Depedning on the person, the steped attenuator can be a tad annoying but other than that, it's fucking STELLAR.

Yep, the Soloist is what I came upon by chance. Given the high praise I have seen I am left with the impression that it is unbeatable in it's price range.
I'm not too interested in going down the rabbit hole again. Just reading a couple threads here and there. I'm pretty much determined to go down one of three paths:
1) The Dacmini CX (or PX) is looking more and more like an attractive all-in one solution. Can always throw in an amp later if I feel it's justified. There are a lot of "mods" that can be made to it to add confusion, however... there's always something.
2) The Burson Conductor, which has the Soloist's amp and contains a DAC as well from my understanding. I only just discovered this, will have to investigate more.
3) Schiit Bifrost with Uber Analog upgrade as DAC. Amp undecided in this particular configuration. I'm a bit wary of this one as I'm concerned that pairing this with a Schiit amp will be overly bright and far too fatiguing for prolonged use.
I suspect I'll upgrade from the HD 598's to the HD 650 at some point, and perhaps (but not likely) the LCD-2 afterwards.

This is likely the wisest choice. Procuring one here second hand looks like it may prove a challenge. I see some good deals on Audiogon, but no one willing to ship to Canada. I'll be keeping an eye out.

Otherwise they're going to be outrageously expensive. The components will offer the most accurate music reproduction ever made. No switches or dials. Pure music. Oxygen free copper. Class-Z amplifiers. The fucken best.

Ahh, ok. That makes sense. I think the HD has that DSD/DXD wizardry mentioned prior in here.
Inquiry asking WTF DUDES?! to Resonessence provided a response regarding materials being sourced from US, dollar disparity due to the Canadian dollar dropping, etc yeah yeah. They are willing to do CAD directly though.
Of course now I'd have to consider an amp again if I even entertained such a thing.
