Hey girls I was just wondering how the auditions are going for a new guitar player. I was bumed to hear the news about Sarah leaving. I play guitar and Sarah's one of my mentors. I've always wanted to meet her maybe I still might have the chance who knows.

I've been following several emerging electric guitar players, and it appears that Nili Brosh from Boston is going to do a few shows with the Band. Probably a little trial period. I've seen Nili play live and she has numerous videos on youtube. She is out of Berklee School of Music and in a blog I saw from Joe Stump one of her teachers..Nili is probably the best female electric guitar player in the country. Based on what I've seen her do live I have to agree. She's already played with Andy Timmons and Guthrie Govan. So the upper echelon of players already know who she is...It will be sweet to see her play in the Maidens. Her style appears to be mix of Vai/Satriani/Timmons and George Lynch. She'll definitely be an asset. She's good looking to...

Hey!

I checked out Nili's vids. WOW. She is a keeper. Pretty cute too! When are the s shows with Nili?

Derek and Kim played me some of her material (Derek did the cover for her brother's CD), and she sounds absolutely incredible. I don't agree that she's anything like Vai or Satriani....I feel she puts a lot more of her heart and soul into her playing. Those other two never really imrpessed me beyond their amazing ability to play. To me it's not impressive that you can play ANYTHING...it's what you choose to play...and if it moves your audience. I'm sure Vai and Satriani have a larger following that their playing DOES move....but I'm not in that following.
