AYDY note.

Saying Hatebreeder is better than AYDY is just purposeful angering people up. It's like saying wearing pink fuss on your Yankee is cool. The only exception is that that actually is cool...

Yeah, because there's no way in hell that Hatebreeder is better than AYDY, damn straight.

Oh wait... no, actually the truth is the exact opposite. AYDY blows and Hatebreeder rocks. Sorry for that, folks.

I wont contridict that post because its just sad..

AYDY is my least favourite album.. its sad that you continue to criticise it..

obviously their other albums are a sheeeeet load better..but the amount of threads on this forum giving your 2 cents blows goats

Ive always respected COB, and still do

i just don't like the new album though- thats my opinion

and i can appreciate why people might like it, some of the rhythms and stuff are good

As a guitarist though im dissapointed that there arent any EPIC guitar leads and stuff... that you can play in a guitar shop and people will think "woah thats xxxxx"

I have read many threads not making a word, I just pitty the idiots running around argueing how it was a failure. I must admit that i do ofcourse respect peoples opinion but to rip a band on their own forum is pretty sad.
Many people will agree to this thread and the lame fucks making posts critisizing it should be smashed with a brick.
But i feel like ripped off with that new album...
I mean... what the hell happend?

So bad, so sad :(

Where are the typical melodic guitar riffs in it?
Why is it changed into nu-metal ... :(
Not good for a finnish band with power solo's...

I've seen cob 3 times live already. I even went to another country to see cob. But next month, i'm going to skip your concert here in Belgium... Certainly if they're going to play much from the new album and the crowd will be full of kids and posers like it was at the last concert i saw them. It even was too crowded to enjoy a concert, that time.

Actually, it's not my intention to put a knife in the back of cob...
I just wanted to make them see another point of view. To realise that they have to put a step back, and make another next album like hatebreeder with much melodic parts, solo's, more quit things.
They haven't gone to conservatorium to finally end in this music... They really have to make a comeback. And maybe 200666 is a good year for it. I know this band can do much more than this.
Maybe they have to make a more classical-metal thing like Janne did with his Warmen.

Actually, i don't have a problem by telling this on their own forum. Because i don't like to do gossips behind their back.
It should be on their own board, so the band can see what their fans think about it, called feedback, and than they know if they're evoluation in good/bad directions, what they can do about it in future etc...

Cob gave me much inspiration in playing the guitar here at home, and that's a good thing. I'm not going to throw away this album, just going to put it into my big cob-collection, listen to the other albums and i'm really not going to forget what good band this once was, or still is.
And i don't have a problem with people who really like the new album, everyone has his style of music. We're not going to argue other people's taste.

I didn't read this whole topic yet. But Something Wild said it right clear.

It must be heartbreaking to see young people like your favorite band. And those damn posers! Of course that's a good reason not to go on a gig.. I mean people might recognize you among those kids and label you as one of them! Maybe it's no more a cool thing to listen to COB when everyone like them. Was that the reason you listened to them in the first place and not because you liked the music? If you did like the music, stuff like this shouldn't affect you, poser

The funny things is that every review i have read in magazines, *aardschok, Rock Tribune, RockSound* about the AYDY? album, is that every review was written in a positiv way, about the album being good, had new influences, was strong and straigh forward.
And now since I've been here ,* i know it's not long yet*, and read all the opinions of it, it looks like most of the people being here don't seem to like AYDY? Some even really hate it.

I can get that. AYDY? Doesn't sound anything like the other four albums...I don't like the album as much as I like FTR or HB, but still i think that the Bodom guys delivered a good piece of music, in that matter, and it's liked by enough people and even some became a new "fan" because of AYDY? And that's just positiv thing for band.

You can agree with me or not but it's true that you shouldn't bring down the band so bad because of one lousy album...

but well who am i to judge right..after all we do live in a free world..

Some chick died from playing that game so much. Madness.

I can die sitting here on my ass, the roof could cave in on me!

Really though those excessive gaming deaths over there are about as common as heart attacks in America.

The deal is the Chinese government hates online gaming for two reasons, so they blow stories like this out of porportion.(much like America nowadays) You will be hearing about one real shortly in which a kid jumped to his death over in China and the parents are suiting Blizzard claiming that World of Warcraft made him do it. Anyway back to the two reasons:

The first reason is the real legitimate reason, the kids/teens/young adults are having poor academic lives, negelecting jobs, personal life, and what not. That all falls down to personal responsibility in my opinion. But yeah its a reason to be concerned.

The second reason is the government over there does not like their people having access to the internet, namely online games where you interact with other people around the globe. The Chinese government sees it as a way for the people to absorb negative opinions about China's form of government and their Country in general. Believe me they hate that factor more than the first. If you don't know by now China has put a curfew on all online games, I think its a 4 or 5 hours a day game time limit. Which is reasonable as that is alot of time. But still sucks to have that enforced upon you.
