But i feel like ripped off with that new album...
I mean... what the hell happend?
So bad, so sad
Where are the typical melodic guitar riffs in it?
Why is it changed into nu-metal ...
Not good for a finnish band with power solo's...
I've seen cob 3 times live already. I even went to another country to see cob. But next month, i'm going to skip your concert here in Belgium... Certainly if they're going to play much from the new album and the crowd will be full of kids and posers like it was at the last concert i saw them. It even was too crowded to enjoy a concert, that time.
Actually, it's not my intention to put a knife in the back of cob...
I just wanted to make them see another point of view. To realise that they have to put a step back, and make another next album like hatebreeder with much melodic parts, solo's, more quit things.
They haven't gone to conservatorium to finally end in this music... They really have to make a comeback. And maybe 2006
66 is a good year for it. I know this band can do much more than this.
Maybe they have to make a more classical-metal thing like Janne did with his Warmen.
Actually, i don't have a problem by telling this on their own forum. Because i don't like to do gossips behind their back.
It
should be on their own board, so the band can see what their fans think about it, called feedback, and than they know if they're evoluation in good/bad directions, what they can do about it in future etc...
Cob gave me much inspiration in playing the guitar here at home, and that's a good thing. I'm not going to throw away this album, just going to put it into my big cob-collection, listen to the other albums and i'm really not going to forget what good band this once was, or still is.
And i don't have a problem with people who really like the new album, everyone has his style of music. We're not going to argue other people's taste.
I didn't read this whole topic yet. But Something Wild said it right clear.
