Bad News for Amorphis fans...

Singer Pasi Koskinen decided to leave the band after 9 long years. Pasis last apperance will be at Kontu Rock 21.8.2004. All touring plans will go ahead as scheduled and rumours of a replacement already exists. We are waiting for a statement from Pasi in the near future.

Koskinen's voice was ideal for Amorphis, as they are now. They should try to get a singer who can capture their space-y 70s feeling.

Not bothered by this news to be honest. I think they were stuck in a rut, although their last one was their best since Elegy. Doubt if their major label (EMI?) will appreciate a death metal record, but who knows...

These are the only ones I have, and IMO, are the only ones worth owning.

Karelian Isthmus was OK, as was Tuonela. Am Universum was not good.

True, but it's not as good as Elegy (which it most resembles perhaps). I dunno, I'm just resorting to only keeping albums that are "must haves" now. I don't see the point in owning albums that are just 'above average', especially from artists that have already done better previously.

Divinity and Greed were the only really good songs on Tuonela. The rest was a bit above average.
