Battlesword are one of the closest "Amon sounding" bands ive heard. Most other Viking themed bands dont keep up with the mighty Amon Amarth....IMO anyway.

Yeh Battlesword are a great band.

I guess it depends what you like about Amon Amarth. Some like the sound and couldn't care less about the lyrics. Some people might listen for the stories and themes they use.

Moonsorrow is always fun to listen too. I also like to listen to Finntroll.

Wulfgar are cool, even if they sound identical haha.

Evocation mostly rip off ATG but some of their songs are a bit similar to AA.
