bands for 2010????

There is men.
Underground.
Who have never seen the sun.
But they really know how to paaaaaarty.

They raise their wooden pints, and they yoik and sing!
And they fight and dance 'till the mooooorning.

Was loving Fearshuggahmore til the clean vox. Ouch.

really? They have changed singers like 8 times, I think this new guy has a horrid and very amateur scream voice but his cleans are great, high pitched but very strong and confident, and even though the tone borders on emo I think the melodies are on the oldschool prog metal tip.

I think it would be amazing to hear someone singing clean all the time over music like this. It would be a nice change of pace anyway.

Thats I guess a matter of personal taste... I think yea, Mabool is better a bit... but still... it is very different, a lot more difficult to digest, but I think those two are simply their best albums...

Oh yea, as for 2010, check new Myrath (if you want, also the first album, that one kicks ass too), The Vision Bleak and I have high hopes for Avantasia too :p

This is my 2010 pick....

I have checked out The Vision Bleak - Set Sail To Mystery, it seriously kicks ass, all those who like simple but effective and heavy music with old-school horror thing to it, go for this one :)

I also checked out two new Avantasia albums. There are some clear rockers, other songs arent that clear. Scarecrow wasnt that hard to get into for sure, first listens confused the hell out of me. It seems it is a grower, a lot diverse stuff, cant yet say how good though. I am also awaiting new Rhapsody (I know what you think, flowers! :)), Nevermore, Therion and Symphony X too!

It's like an Yiddish version of Storm:

CYNIC!!!!!!!!!!!! they are releasing a highy anticipated remix(if called that) of their last effort, "Focus." I highly recommend focus btw, but anyway, the new shit is completely stripped down and not really metal at all, giving you glimpse into how diverse and techinical the band really is.

oh, and this has got to be our year, : www.myspace.com/waketheliving0
