Bands like CoB

Do any of you know bands that play like CoB? if so do tell :Spin:

Norther and Skyfire, and they're both better then CoB.

also add Kalmah

all 3 of those bands (Kalmah, Skyfire, Norther) are very good but in my opinion Children of Bodom is better.

i'll add Omnium Gatherum and Mors Principium, but to tell you the truth Kalmah owns the Finnish melo-death scene currently.

Kalmah, Skyfire and maybe Ensiferum or Throne of Chaos, but i still think that COB is better than all of them. Its my fav band, along with Maiden.

Well CoB are basically power metal with non power metal vocals (which is a good thing). Do Kalmah, Skyfire, and Norther have power metal vocals? If not, I might actually check them out.

Eternal Tears Of Sorrow and Sinergy are a bit like CoB too methinks.. Sinergy has a female vocalist, though..

Sinergy are basically CoB with a different singer. There are more CoB members in Sinergy, than members of Sinergy.

I forgot about ETOS. DEFINATELY a good band although they broke up. You may have some trouble finding some of their stuff but it's still pretty much around.

@LifeSucks: Kalmah, Skyfire etc are basically "melodeath". Powerful melodic music with growly vocals.
I really like Skyfire, I think they are almost as good as COB, if not just as good!
By the way: I'm SICK TO DEATH of morons calling every young Scandinavian band that has shred, keys and growls a Bodom rip-off!

i've only listened to the sample they had on the nuclear blast site but that was like 3 years ago. i've never been able to find their cd for sale or any more mp3's of them. i had kinda forgotten about them till you brought them up
