Bands similar to Nevermore?

for example P.O.E. reminds a lot of Coroner , especially the technical moments in the middle of the title track.
and the new stuff sounds very much like Carcass-Heartwork era .
but overall Nevermore are one of the most unique bands out there so it is difficult to find a band "similar " to them
also if you think Lefay are similiar, then probably you will find Morgana Lefay even more similar.

Lefay / Morgana Lefay is the only band mentioned that bares resemblance to Nevermore. Well, Jag Panzer and Vainglory maybe a tiny bit. I haven't heard Eidolon, though. Twelfth Gate is probably the closest I can think of; they released their debut this year which was good (not quite in the excellent category, but solid).
The 2 sound clips on SCARIOT's web site from their new demo sound Nevermore'ish to me. The vocalist sounds like he's trying to imitate WD.

Arch Enemy is similar musically...Wages of Sin has a mix that is dead-on Nevermore-sounding thanks to the great Andy Sneap. Also agree about Coroner...they were one of my all time favorite bands...and I hear some of their influence now and then in Jeff's rhythms and solos.
