Bands you like that no one else does

The Toadies play shows here ALL THE TIME but they're always at these stupid daytime festivals when it's too hot or they're free so the tickets run out far in advance. One of these days, Alice

Communic:

Alter Bridge, and especially this song. Myles Kennedy is one of the most talented musicians/singers I've ever heard.

Yeah I love Myles...he's got this Chris Cornell before he sucked kinda vibe. He deserves much more success than Alter Bridge had, but I cringe at the thought of him joining Velvet Revolver. He's much too good for them.

He was the leading candidate to sing for Zeppelin when they were about to get back together last year. I may have actually given a shit about that band if that happened.

Everyone like the Toadies...

...right? :(

I guess mine would be Kiss, although millions of people like them. Besides that, maybe Spacehog and Girls vs Boys.

Hey, I like Communic.

But for me, it would have to be Dream Theater.

Holy shit, Spacehog!!!! I completely forgot about them!!! In the Meantime was a cool song, and their singer is hilarious.

Oh yeah, and HUM is a great band. Their first album is amazing.

This song starts off all kinda wimpy and stuff and then BAM! This gargantuan fucking riff smacks you right in the mowf.

And Gruntruck:

I think Communic is great. Actually that reminds me I never picked up their last release, thanks Kevin. :)

First would have to be Dark Lunacy, who I've been listening to for years. This song has one of the most intense endings I have EVER heard from ANY band:

Darzamat is a more recent discovery of mine; they remind me of Ram-Zet, if not in originality then at least in heaviness/craziness:

Also, Nera is crazy hot.

Dark Lunacy is from here...Bologna or Milan, don't remember exactly. Seen 'em open for Dark Tranquillity. Really good live band, very simplistic. All the orchestration is sampled live...it's just the four guys playing which is interesting and pretty much exactly what we're doing, only Skylab is just me and the drummer.

I'll just say - I loved Stabbing Westward. I got into them during Wither Blister Burn and Peel. And I can listen to all their albums without skipping a track. Big fan.

For my own additions: Tourniquet, Trust Company, Lamb of God (?), Clayman era In Flames, Rascal Flatts, Alison Krauss, and Apoptygma Berzerk

I couldn't even begin to compete with some of you in the "obscure metal bands nobody else has ever heard of" game, therefore:

Dance Hall Crashers

Sleater Kinney

Optimus Rhyme

MC Frontalot
