I always found it interesting how even people I knew back then who would listen to mostly nothing but metallllllllllll would still have Smash in their CD binders in their cars.

The Offspring was my first concert ever, right after Smash was released in '93. Second concert was Megadeth and Corrosion of Conformity about 2 weeks later.

my first concert was also offspring, on the ixnay... tour! they went downhill fast after that, and really in retrospect half of ixnay... is pretty gay too. Smash rules though. back when home cd burners were like brand new i made a Smash/Pennywise - About Time cd. played the shit out of that in the car

Menza's crystal clear drum kit with the huge cymbal rack is my most vivid memory of that show. So awesome, that was the Youthanasia tour, I believe.
