I'm thinking of upgrading my Pro tools 8 system, I'm not sure if I should stick with Pro tools anymore.
What daw's are you guys using and why?
Mainly I'm recording/ mixing audio.
So what's your opinion.
Semi professional use.

Thanks in advance

As others have said, Reaper. Only real downside is that the stock plugins aren't as fancy or high-quality as some others, but 9 times out of 10 they get the job done and there are free plugins out there if you really need something it doesn't have as far as basic stuff like metering, EQ, compression, limiting, etc.

We all love http://audacityteam.org/ around here. It keeps it real, ya hear?

You're very welcome!

Don't be a dick.

I´m using logic pro x. used reaper for a while but prefer logic. but reaper is a good one too. if you´re starting new i´d probably suggest reaper. they got a fair price policy and it´s getting better and better.

i never used pro tools, that´s some of the industry standard but what sucks up is their new subscription model. i would´t support that.
