Haven't been here in a while. So I thought I would start a thread:kickass:

The title says it all.

I'll throw a couple out there.

"Core" by STP is up there.

Rage Against the Machine's debut album is also very hard to top also.

Machine Head - Burn My Eyes
Pearl Jam - Ten
Jeff Buckley - Grace
Anthax - FOM

Those would be my faves that immediately spring to mind

I can't help but keep FOM off of mine. It was recorded too terribly.

Here's a couple that I think are great first efforts. Most of these bands went on to create better albums though. I'm sure more will pop into my head later.

Strapping Young Lad - Heavy as a Really Heavy Thing
Mr Bungle - (no Title)
System of a Down - (No Title)
Mastodon - Remission
Yakuza - Way of the Dead
Gojira - Terra Incognita
NIN - Pretty Hate Machine
Monster Magnet - Spine of God

In my opinion AMPLE DESTRUCTION by the mighty JAG PANZER (If you see it in time THE absolute top of the American-Eighties-Powermetal).
Followed by: The Final Experiment by Ayreon (Dutch project by ex-Vengeance guitarplayer, check it out).
Followed by: Battle Cry by Omen (Still kicking ass, saw them at Keep-it-True early april).
Followed by: Condamnés by Malediction (Powermetal with beautiful vocals from France, their second album Esclave du Vice is also superb).
Followed by: Love You to Pieces by Lizzy Borden (Just Lizzy Borden shock-Rock).
And also: Wasp-Wasp, Mechanical Resonance-Tesla, Battle Hymns-Manowar, Primo Victoria-Sabaton.
Greetings Dave Coopmans, Belgium.
