Best Floyd?

DSOM / WYWH I guess. Not a huge fan of TFC, some bits are quite good, but some of the lyrics really clang for me.

it's his solo career. and he only plays his songs or ones that he co-wrote.

the point was that he didnt want another album released by "pink floyd" without him in it. to me, thats fair. he wrote most of and the greatest pf songs. he did most of the work and "pinkf loyd" went ahead and played his songs without him

You act like Pink Floyd would have been the same without Gilmour. Even the songs Roger wrote wouldn't sound the same without David's style. I really don't see the problem when 3/4 of the band are together and want to use the name.

no of course pink floyd would NEVER be the band we know today without gilmour. but it really despises me to see most people calling roger waters a selfish asshole...now thats pretty superficial in my book

 

[Dreadful]

if you left it up to gilmour to write all the older albums...they'd be like the moody blues...still a good band, but not nearly as important.
