Best growl(s) in a single Opeth song.

I love this part in 'In Mist She Was Standing':

"...Standing silent smiling at my presence
A black candle holds the only LIIIIIGHT!!!..."

The was he growls "LIIIIIGHT" is just so unbelievably unhuman, painful and terrifying!

Another great part is in the aforementioned 'Karma':

"...I have gone away. The bed is cold and empty.
Trees bend their boughs toward the earth.
And nighttime birds float as black faces.
It was the hand reaching out through the mirror.
Unknown and scarred by life...
the luring eyes, you had never seen..."

So dark and brooding, like a stream of lava.

Other parts I love:

the beginning of 'April Ethereal'

the part of When: "...walking in familiar traces..."

and a lot more...

Not my favorite, but worthy of mention is 7:46 in Master's Apprentices.
'plunging into the deepest void departed shell left drained behind'
Unexpected and brutal

That's one mad growl.
I go with Serenity Painted Death and Karma just as many others. There's probably a lot left unmentioned that I love but I'm too lazy...

Definately Serenity painted death, every time I hear that growl I always think how cool it sounds. It's fucking great!!
