best intro/outro ever

Openers:
Slayer - War Ensemble
Tool - The Grudge
Dissection - At the Fathomless Depths / Night's Blood
Pink Floyd - Shine on You Crazy Diamond (parts I - V)
King Crimson - Larks' Tongues in Aspic (part I)

Closers:
Alice in Chains - Would?
Morbid Angel - Hatework
Bathory - One Rode to Asa Bay
Nine Inch Nails - Hurt
David Bowie - Chant of the Ever Circling Skeletal Family

Openers: Judas Priest - The Hellion

It got my attention straight away, It's amazing the way it runs right into Electric eye.

Closers: Slipknot - Danger, keep away.

It's not something you would ever expect from Slipknot, even with the new album sound, this is the perfect closer to an album.

i meant song specific but since we're on album openings now I'll go with the package off thirteenth step. its not really metal but its still a really cool opening song.

I would have to say my favorite intro is Cryptopsy's Phobophile. The piano part is hauntingly beautiful, and the bass part that follows is so fun to play and sounds so nice.

that song kicks ass

i like the intro/outro to Cryptopsy's None So Vile

the intro being the yelling from Exorcist 3 going into Lord Worm's scream at the start of the first song

and the outro being Bruce Campbell saying something like "go ahead and run, run home and cry to mama!"
