I've been surfing through miscellaneous music videos and audio clips tonight, and it's got me thinking about what the best metal albums are from the last ten years. I'm curious to know what you guys think and what your personal choices are. So for fun and friendly debate, post your picks.

EDGE OF SANITY - Crimson 2

Any reason why Crimson 2 made the list and the first one didn't? Just curious - I'm more partial to the original, but haven't spent too much time listening to the second. Maybe I'll have to do that while I'm putziing around today.

I think only because the first Crimson came out more than ten years ago, and we were keeping it within the 1997-2007 range. Otherwise "Purgatory Afterglow" would definitely be ranked up there as well.

I see Luca Turilli! Didn't know was known even in the US. A friend of mine (and also bandmate) is a good friend with Manuel Staropoli (both attend the conservatory..to be true my friend has finished yesterday after 8 years and now is degreed!) (younger brother of Alex)..he went to the presentation of Triumph Or Agony in Torino (we live near) at the FNAC (about a year ago..)
