Best Metal Guitarist?

Guess I should contribute.
Satch, Vai, Laiho (he shouldn't sing but he is an excellent player.), Morton and Adler (they work together flawlessly), Wylde is good but tries too hard to be unique when playing Rhoads or Lee Ozzy songs, and is extremely repetitive. Slash is severely underrated.

Kai Hansen, Luca Turilli, Manni Schmidt, Michael Romeo.

And also the Guitarist of Running Wild for Pile of Skulls, Blazen Stone & Blackhand Inn. Killer Riffs in these 3 albums.

End of Discussion...

Tracksuit pants are not very metal.

Varg, Morton and Adler? All laughable. Tipton and Downing work together well, not these 2 pantera/Testament rejects.

I'll vote for some ridculiously guitarded guy, Satch, Chris Broderick, Trey of MA, etc etc.

The real question should be, what exactly decides 'best'. There is no answer. You can be fast as fuck and be totally shitty (Malmsteen). Or be technical as fuck and suck total balls (Necrophagist).

Though, Paul Gilbert does own, not to mention he is a really good teacher.
Edit: I already posted in this but fuck, i'll post again. And I forgot Tony Iommi, though he was in my first post.

Two stupid reasons to think someone is the best. Think for yourselves and not what others think and the # of albums made does not make someone the best.
Well if i thought for myself it wouldn't be the "best" guitarist in metal, it would be my favorite; and aslo, do you think he would of sold so many of them if he wasn't the best? It's not like someones going to buy his albums for the drums.

a few that stand out to me both for their playing and songwriting are;

Oddleif Stensland (communic)
Dave Mustaine (Megadeth)
Jon Shaffer (Iced Earth, Demons and wizards)

and seconded Jeff Loomis and Micheal Romeo

Fast as fuck and shitty? Define shitty? His early albums are executed flawlessly.

Toni Iommi plays an endless wall of power chords, he bloes.

Necrofagist does blow however, more than Toni Iommi possibly.
