Rhapsody. Manage to sound different but still within their own style. Dragonforce sound EXACTLY the same on every CD. Iron Maiden aren't power metal but certainly created or influenced the genre the most. SymphX are good but for me they don't particularly stand out and the same for Hammerfall.

IM sounds pretty much power metal to me. So do SymphX they have alot of the qualities of a PM band. So duz IM so why the hell not put em in that catagorie.

Twilight Guardians, Sonata Arctica, and Dragonforce are the only power metal bands I listen to right now, unless some of the other bands I listen to are considered power metal......so I choose Dragonforce.

To the American audience they are. There's a difference between what Americans and Europeans define Power Metal as.
