The funny thing is, Gus is playing exactly like Wylde plays these songs because that's what the fans have become accustomed to...yet everyone still slams on Gus.

Gus G could be set on fire and get his right arm caught in a wood chipper and he'd still play circles around Zakk Wylde.

Srsly. I'm glad he's getting a big break because he deserves it. Firewind is a great band but it's still Firewind and not something huge like Ozzy. I hope he doesn't become a Zakk clone and throws in his own style instead, because he's a fantastic guitarist.
