Beyer m160-love Clips (Bogner+Earforce so far....plz add more)

here's mine

Chain: od820 into Bogner Überschall with KT88 on one side, Earforce two (KT88 as well) on the other.
Cab: Mesa Rectifier 4x12, mic's with a single m160 (obviously) about 4" from the grille, center of the speaker slightly off axis.

How do you position Lasse? Is proximity (ribbon damage) a concern?

the m160 is really rugged for a ribbon, you can place it very close and on axis without a problem.
however ribbon mics have a rather strong proximity effect, so I like to place it between 3 and 6" from the cloth.
but it certainly can take the abuse of being placed directly in front of a dimed amp, no worries

omfg love this, i've wanted a m160 for a long time. i recently read an interview with Eddie Kramer saying that he uses an m160 on basically every guitar cab he records but i was interested in hear it on something with more gain... love it!!!!!!!!
