Welcome To Kanata Eh!
Hey

Ive been listening to alot of Iced Earth and Blind Guardian lately, I was wondering where you guys stand.. What do you prefer?

IMO...Blind Guardian has Hansi who is very talented...Their music is pretty cool ass well...Than we move on over to Iced Earth where we have darker music and very talented Guitarist. And of Course we have Demonz and Wizards which is the best of both worlds... I had to think about this for along time and I realized I couln't say which band was better...They both have some amazing stuff, and some less amazing! Than D&W is a clash of the titans so to speak... So Id have to vote for they are all equal!

I don't like any of them very much... But i prefer Blind Guardian among them...

Iced Earth's guitarist may be talended but he seems to be uncreative, or doesn't prefer to create different riffs. I didn't like Barlow's vocal, unlike many... When i listen to "A Question Of Heaven" for instance, i take great pleasure, however -as being too much alike- i don't need to listen many other songs...

The atmosphere in Demons&Wizards is ok, but the same guitar problem ;)

Blind Guardian is really a high-quality band, and has very good songs. (as well as some bad ones) Don't get me wrong, but i don't like Hansi Kursch's vocal either. But i should accept that he has a very different voice and vocal technique.

Xymphony--Thanks for putting your BG criticisms civilly. People could really learn from that example when it comes to some other bands!

Oh my god. The decision is so hard!! Hansi is God, but Iced Earth when they had Barlow was so amazing!!

I chose Tie. I just can't decide. They're both too big of Power Metal Titans to possibly comprehend such a decision!

Of power metal, Hansi is my vocal totem whom I worship on a daily basis five times a day.

(Prog vocalist totem is obvious, eh?)

And of Prog Metal, would your totem of daily worship have been Rullo's drum kit that he had on ebay if you'd won it? I remember that discussion. That was fun. :Spin:

Haha, that was funny!

I'd have to say Blind Guardian, although, they are the only ones I listen to out of the list. Not huge into power metal, though.
