Such fucking bullshit, he goes from being one of the most influential singers in metal to singing in an anti-drug group to a bunch of 5th graders. The guy single handedly got me into metal and changed my life, now he's singing to a bunch of little kids that probably arent listening to a word he's saying

That being said, I feel the need to say that if I was pulled over by Matt Barlow, I'd put on either Burnt Offerings or Something Wicked. If that actually happened, it would be awesome if he went into a cool monologue. Monologues kick ass.

Iced Earth by a mile! I like Blind Guardian's "A Night At The Opera" work, but some of the other songs I've heard from their other albums, haven't really caught up to the great masterpiece they made in Opera. Iced Earth has powerful and brutal songs that pump me up. I love the riff work in "Stand alone" and "My own savior," fast and powerful!

^^ Agreed to a certain extent, Night At The Opera is the BG cd that i really love start to finish. The rest of their cd's have a lot of weak tracks, but NATO is a masterpiece imo.

I only have a Night at the Opera compared to every Iced Earth album so my opinion is a little biased. When I first heard Burnt Offerings, I got hooked again to IE.

Nightfall is a tremendous BG album indeed, but so is Burnt Offerings(well a tremendous IE album lol )

IE and D&W are just amazing, and while I dig Hansi's voice, I don't really care for BG that much...just a couple songs here and there (like Lord Of The Rings...great tune)

Overall I don't dig Iced Earth, although Damien is one bastard hard tune.

BG on the other hand are legendary but I prefer their earlier stuff, songs like Banished from Sanctuary, Somewhere far Beyond, Lost in the Twilight hall are my cup of tea but the newer stuff like night at the Opera is overproduced and too operatic (hence the album title I suppose, duhh).
