I love what Andy Sneap does. I think the following are some KILLER sounding albums. He really understands how to produce/mix this era of metal:
Testament - Formation of Damnation, Dark Roots of Earth
Nevermore - (every album he's produced by them)
Exodus - Shovel Headed Kill Machine (and others)
Megadeth, Kreator etc.
Basically he's the underground's Rick Rubin at this point, as in the guy that classic bands making a comeback try to get. And in his defense, he doesn't suck all the reverb out of the room like Rick Rubin.
I still think to this day that Slayer went downhill as soon as Rick Rubin got a hold of them. Reign in Blood is great and all that, but I preferred Hell Awaits, etc. He tried to make them a punk band.
