I don't think I'd be so quick to judge that one. Opeth is always full of surprises. Granted, they have to run out sooner or later but in this case, I'm thinking later. This style could be like opening a can of kick ass and could inspire several killer albums still to come.

I'm with you on that one. Why shouldn't this be a progression into something new and different but still wonderfully Opeth?

I think this will be a great transition time for the band, but in a great way. Heavy death metal, mellow acoustic Porcuopeth Tree, classical passages, and Prog rock? How can Mikael ever run out of ideas?
