Hi everyone,

Just FYI, the new Bloodbound album, Tabula Rasa, is available for purchase from Amazon.com. (It actually came out last week but was apparently not marketed at all.) It's actually not half bad! :p

Seriously, some of the folks who post around here have heard it already I know, and the reviews from people whose opinions I actually respect have been fairly favorable (perhaps they will be so kind as to post a sentence or two themselves). It's more in the direction of Tad Morose, I suppose.

Here are some links to some reviews for anyone who wants to read what others have to say:

http://www.metalsetlists.com/archive/index.php/t-10079.html

Here's a couple of snippets from the reviews:
"Very powerful Heavy Metal with a lot of melody, played with a lot of confidence and is unpredictable enough to be fascinating continuously."

"very punchy and aggressive, yet amazingly melodic and memorable modern melodic metal album"

There's also a track up on their MySpace page (http://www.myspace.com/bloodboundonline).

Okay, enough hawking from me. Hope you guys like this!

I've heard it .... very good disc. It's my favorite of the three Bloodbound discs, and should have a solid shot at my top 10 this year.

Urban does a great job as usual, and even shows off a different side of his voice on Night Touches You ..... very nice work there.

Agreed... and I'll definitely be picking this up. However, I'm much more jazzed to hear the new Pyramaze.

All right Zod, I'm going to pick on you for a minute. Please clarify for me how you can be diggin' the new Bloodbound and be looking forward to the new Pyramaze, yet call the Masterplan debut "generic"? :err: I love all three of these bands, but let's face it, none of them are breaking any new ground here. What say you my friend?

He is probably going to Denmark in the next week or so to record some stuff. :)

The disc is mine! Heck yeah! Can't wait to hear it! I hope Urban will be at the Theocracy show to sign copies.

Unfortunately, he will not be back here until June.

That song seems to be getting a LOT of love. I was not sure I liked his vocals on it to start with (on the verses), but they grew on me.

Anyway, thanks for the comments, everyone! Having more people more involved in the songwriting and having the rhythm section of Pelle and Johan really stepped this band up a few notches in my opinion. Those of you who haven't heard it yet, please post what you think when you do.

I love the cd. Night Touches You... i thought my Ipod had skipped to a different band! Really good work on that track, but I am loving the title track as well.

So that is Urban singing on that song?? I swear I thought someone else was singing in the beginning of that song...

Got a sneak-peek of this one about a month back. 2 horns up from me! Definitely shows off Urban's influence in the writing. My personal faves: "Dominion 5", "Tabula Rasa", and "Night Touches You" (kudos to Urban for exploring his more melodic side). Looking forward to seeing where this trend goes. ;)
