Blut Aus Nord

I really this album. Some of the songs are just so unbelievably bleak, espacially the first two songs, which are flat out amazing. The end of Our Blood Frozen Cells is great too.

Anyone heard Leviathan-The Tenth Sub Degree of Suicide? Sort of gives me the same feeling as this album.

The Howling of God, Procession of the Dead Clowns and Our Blessed Frozen Cells are the three best, but all of them are superb. Underrated album.

Tis a good album, aye. I love the eerieness (sp?) in their music.....it's not contrived but sounds very original and feels quite genuine. The drumming is also very sensible and well-produced. A great album, no doubt.

Yeah, god, the drum production. It's absolutely amazing. Most technical and fitting, haunting drum machine setup EVER.

It's simply outstanding, as with all Blut Aus Nord albums. Our Blessed Frozen Shells and Procession of the Dead Clowns are the two most dissonant, disturbingly errie and beautiful pieces of music I have ever heard. Yes, I love this band. Similar feelings are conjured up with Vindsvals side-projects Children of Maani and The Eye.

The Choir of the Dead and The Howling of God are the two tracks that have stood-out the most to me so far.....i've listened through about 3 or 4 times now......probably those two because they're the ones to most prominently feature those strange, tortured, subtle wailing of...what are they? Guitars or synths? I can't really tell! But man, when I first heard that effect in The Choir of the Dead, I was like '........:worship: .........'.

I'm very much looking forward to spending more time with this album and band. I'll have to see if I can purchase the CD sometime in the near future.

What other albums do they have that are equally as good?
Memoria Vetusta - Fathers Of The Icy Age

Great record. Its more melodic and most of the songs are mid-paced, the riffing still has a very dark aura. It's a whole different phase of Blut Aus Nord.

Yep, pretty twisted album as well.
