I think there are at least four songs on SIT that are inferior to "Stranger...". "Deja Vu", anyone? "Heaven Can Wait", anyone? "Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner", anyone (even though it was in my head for the entire two hours it took me to walk up and down King's Canyon)? "Alexander the Great", anyone?

Stranger In A Strange Land is the second best song on the album! (Wasted Years being first :D )

Absolutely - i just wish Adrian had of stuck around to play on that track. I love it after the solo...and Bruce screams woooooAAAHHHHH-YEEAAAAAAHHHHHHH RIGHT ON THE MONEY!!!! Got it wrapped up tight...

That sends shivers down my spine - every time!

Deja Vu is the single that never was. I love that song :headbang:.

Which do you lot think is best out of Stranger and Sea of Madness? I like both, but I'm leaning towards the latter because of the quiet mid-section/solo part.

Years ago, before the times of CD players (I know some of you might be too young to remember there being such an era) I used to listen to "Somewhere In Time" on my walkman in bed of a night... and I would *always* fall asleep during "Sea of Madness"! Great song, but I prefer "Stranger".

Ah, the dim dark days in the time before CD players. I remember borrowing SIT on cassette from the library (as I did with most Maiden albums), listening to it for the first time and discovering that Maiden weren't scary after all :).

I listened to it several more times that weekend as I tried to work out how to dub a copy, reading 2000 AD comics all the while. Ah youth...

I wonder how the new Judge Dredd flick is shaping up. Hope it's better than the old one (which was actually not all that bad, once I got around to seeing it).
