I prefer new, but that's just because I first heard new Katatonia, my first listen was Black Session, loved it...
I dont know which style I prefer..
Like most of the Katatonia fans who started with Katatonia at their beginning, I like the new style too. I think i like it the same.
But I think people that started with their new sound, dont like the old music.

i like everything they've done so far. it's one of the few bands i like who has never disappointed me
I've started with the new stuff, and ended up loving their two periods (actually, three, if we include "Viva Emptiness") equally.
The changes are actually not that big, since in all the releases from the beginning til now they have kept this special "katatonian" vibe/mood/whatever...
