to answer your question, yeah it was kind of rude, he might enjoy COB's music and might not know a lot about string gauges and might want a suggestion from a professional standpoint i.e. an artist playinng music he wants to play. You wouldnt want him thinking he needs to play 13's to play in D would you? He just seemed like he wanted to head in the right direction with string guage etc... let the flaming commence
