Audio Demo - https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1218523/2013-07-10 - JCab Demo.wav (My metal amp tone-dialing has waned in the past couple years, meh :loco:)

L - SM57 (Program 1a)
R - i5 (Program 2b)
C - Sub (Program SUBa which kicks in after 10 seconds, roughly)

I'm a little delayed here, this cab has been in my vault for some time haha. It was great to see that those who used my previous VCab were hearing the good things in it that I was. Hopefully this offering can do the same!

The Jcab is a well-known and used 4x12" closed-back cabinet from a popular British amplifier company. This one can harken back from old-school rock to thrash metal (although it does MUCH more, those are just common uses). A punchy bass, cutting midrange, and a sharp (but not harsh) top end are what you can expect out of this set of programs. This set contains several different micing positions from an SM57, i5, u87, and 2 homemade subkick mics (ohhhhh the girthy lowend!!!)

I had to split this up in 2 rar files, as it was just over a gigabyte. Between Dropbox, Mega, Mediafire, Google Drive, etc.... Mega accepted 1gig so I went with that instead of splitting it into six 200mb files on other sites.

Hope you guys dig it :headbang:

Oh man! I appreciate and thank you for sharing your work. From the end of the world, Argentina.

Scott.

To be honest... I forget if it's a JCM800/900 cab or a 1960a, as I sampled this months ago from a borrowed cab. I do know that the speakers are Celestion G12-75's though!

Botus how to use that sub program?

Duplicate the channel that you are using for the normal sound (ampsim and all), but then replace the Nebula instance doing the cabinet simulation with the sub.

I've found that, with the sub, you have to use the same amp settings and any other plugin settings that you are using with the normal "miced" track. Things get phasey if you try to use the sub with a different amp or different amp settings.

I just woke up and haven't had my coffee yet. I hope this made sense haha

Thank you, but... I don't understand what I gain ausing it.

Sorry, I'm not a pro.

Scott, you can also use the send method, like I told you there :
http://www.ultimatemetal.com/forum/backline/886478-how-mix-cabinets-nebula.html

About what you'll gain using it, I didn't had the time to try the library but it's just an additional mic, right ? (maybe a subkick or something like that, capturing only the sub / low end)
So you'll gain what this mic will bring, just like you do when blending different mics (in this case, it may add more subs / beef).

This :)

No worries Scott. Basically, it was a homemade subkick mic. I like to use it in addition to my normal tone when it needs more "girth", "beef", "cajones", etc (everyone has their own word for it :loco:). Also, the drive knob can affect the tone of the SUB programs a lot! I prefer to use the SUB programs with -12 drive or so (sometimes lower). The higher drive settings can introduce unnatural high-end into the signal, but I encourage messing with it and finding what works for you!

Whenever I mic up a guitarist's cab with a subkick in real life, I get questions out the ass. But they always smile when they hear what it does :heh: I've used subkicks to mic guitars for a couple years, and whenever you need that extra low-end chuggy goodness, that's the first thing I reach for!

Than you for the clarification (I just saw it's written in the readme file !).

I was going to give it a try, but unfortunately there's a corrupted file in the archive part2.
I'm downloading it again, just to be sure !

Still the same issue.
It tells me that the file "Vectors\Botus Jcab 3c.n2v" is corrupted, and the extraction crashes.

I'm using 7-zip.
Anyone having the issue ?

I'll try later with another software.

Thank you friends. I understood everything!
:headbang:
I hadn't any uncompression problem. It worked fine for me.
Using winrar 5 latest beta.

I think it must be a 7zip thing? Normally, 7zip seems to work  Try Winrar or Winzip

Yeah that's a bit strange, as I had sometimes this kind of issue using winzip or winrar, and it was always solved by using 7-zip.
Just tried to unzip with Winrar and it's OK !

Gonna try it on some reamps this afternoon !

HAHA funny how that worked out. Hope you get some good tones, Truie!

Yeah !
Tried it quickly with my Marshall JMP-1 on some overdubs / additional harmonies guitars on an EP I'm workin in, they're pretty good !

The 1c program is sounding kind of sliced / stuttered, is that normal ? (not complaining at all, I just want to be sure if it sound like that everywhere or if it's just me doing something wrong).

I'll record later a test with these programs on rythm guitars !

Hahaha, it's the same case as the programs with similar issues with my VCab from several months back. The honest truth is that these programs are the result of me screwing around, without the thought of releasing them to the public :loco: There may be more of those "nasties" in other programs, but I'll be the first to admit that they are MY fault, not NAT, Nebula, or my computer (ok maybe some of it is my computer hardware, but I chose to carry on for the sake of learning instead of attempting to fix my shortcomings).

That's the biggest reason I'm giving them away :loco: Maybe I'll make newer ones down the road with the intention of doing them REALLY well, but these were just some experiments that happened to prove quite useful. Eventually, I would like to nail down some bass cabs. THAT's what Nebula needs! Between what Kalthallen, OwnHammer, Henry Olonga, and I've made, there's a lot of choices of great guitar cabinets in Nebula. Yet, there's only one set available for bass that I'm aware of (and personally, I don't like it, but that's just me).
