The film covers subjects such as industrialization, terrorism, government control and bureaucracy.

The estructure of Brazil often uses peripheral devices: interviews heard in the background, lines of conversation running over action and posters seen on walls, to give the viewer cues as to what's going on in the film.

At least you have to see it 2 or three times to understand the film.
This is one of the best movie I`ve ever seen.

I saw it.
In the school (I think it was on 6th grade, here is different that), I had a signature called "civic education". We had to read George Orwell's "1984" (an excellent book, something related with the topic of the movie), and then the teacher showed us "Brazil"... I recommend that strongly (read that book and watch that movie).

and now i'm listening Queensrÿche's "Operation: Mindcrime".... what a coincidence... :)

I've only ceen the movie, but I am fully convinced that Terry Guilliams is a genious. Monty Python, Time Bandits, Baron von Munchausen, Fear & Loathing, ect. they're all great.
