Got it yesterday in the mail from Sweden and have listened to it three times so far. Now I´m only lacking the first album( which is on it's way I believe)
Break sounds great and the lyrics are just superb; something I can totally relate to them emotionally. Being inactive and confused & doing nothing for too long. Must get off me-ever-aging-arse and organize my life. Make a decision. Leave the past behind and mistakes made. Don´t let disappointments and wasted time grind you down. Start over again . Stop living in seclusion and being lazy. Ponderings about my future and my family and friends. It´s one of those self-help albums  :D
I´m fond of My enemy, Break, King, Trapped... and probably some more but I can´t remember them at the moment. Great production and vocal performance, songwriting and musical abilities

This album rates surely within 9-10/10 !

Cool - 'nother big fan of BREAK right here.

FYI - the live version of the title track played at IMusicast was AMAZING - can't wait til the DVD!!

"Break" is in fact my third favourite Enchant album. It´s rich and challenging music-wise on one hand and emotionally intense on the other. There´s no song I can relate to as well as I can to "In the Dark"... please, who doesn´t get a crapload of goosebumps when Ted goes "I wonder what my life will be..." in the outro, backed up by some the band´s most powerful music?

I am RIGHT there with you, bro. That song has always been something special to me ever since I first got the disc - and in terms of some things I've gone through over the past year, it now resonates with me even more. One of my favorite songs of all time. Period.

Funny this thread should come up. Break has been on heavy rotation (read over and over...back to back) for the past 2 weeks or so.

Maybe it's that time of the year.. or something.

And yes.. In The Dark is just awesome.

It has a fair share of those goosebumps and stomach churns moments. Definately in the top 1-3 in my Enchant catalogue(only lacking blueprint)

ohh ...and the Cross also rules!

This post blows my mind...I just switched from my gas eating winter truck to my summer sports car (it's finally nice in Boston) and what ONE disc did I throw in--BREAK!!!!!!!!! Let's face it, I had about seven choices, but I chose Break to crank up and knock the dust off the old subwoofers.

A couple of observations:

Does anyone think that the title track would be an AWESOME opening tune...Dim lighting, maybe some blues and reds, whisping fog, and then an explosion when Ted's high note kicks in. Killer.

And why am I always an island when it comes to favorites. The tracks you guys have discussed are great, but what about My Gavel Hand??? Have any of you listened to this one??????? The greatest crescendo in the history of prog rock in the outro...and Ted's vocal...one word...Damn. I hate it when people rate shit, but here's my rating of the track--10000000000 out of 10.

I have a confession to make...prior to the iMusicast gig, I didn't own and had not really heard Break. I had listened to it once courtesy of the fella who introduced me to Enchant, quite a while back. When the guys played the opening track at iMusicast, I had one of those awestruck moments, complete with goosebumps, heart-rate increase, the whole measure of awe! Actually, it was a song-long moment, and has been repeated many many times over, with each listen. I of course bought Break at the gig, and it's in constant rotation on the one-disk player in my car (hey, way better than the AM-only car I had last year!) I'm seriously thinking it's time for a 7-CD changer...which would have to be upgraded to an 8-CD player very soon, I hope. Do they make those??? :D

There is something to be said for delayed gratification.

....The Cross and The Lizard.............those two songs are just so hard-hitting songs........not as emotional as some of the other songs on the album........but damn they are just good songwriting....very catchy songs. When I want to jam, I choose one of those.....

Hey Kristen - I've been blown away thinking about THIS: I'm contemplating selling my car now (Escort) and maybe getting a new Mustang when they roll out at the end of the year - one of the FORD factory options on it is a 1000 watt (!!) sound system with two subwoofer boxes installed in special compartments in the back - 6 CD changer - PLUS (and here's the kicker) the CD player plays MP3s.
:OMG:
Just imagining doing a roadtrip and having ONE CD with Enchant's ENTIRE CATALOG on it.
Now THAT is just way too cool..... :headbang:
