Gorguts aren't really "brutal" death metal, just very obtuse technical death. Obscura is a great album, but if you wanna discuss it, use the all-encompassing Death Metal thread. DOF is great; start from earlier material (except Trading Pieces).

You might like Inherit Disease. I haven't heard much of them but their album generated some good buzz when it came out last year.

They're alright. The vocals are kind of stupid burps that don't fit with the thin, technical music.

Ah see thats actually a really good album, because it sounds very serious, dark and mature. I think that is there best.

Because of this board I checked out the latest albums by Kronos and Defeated Sanity. The Kronos is excellent. The production on the Defeated Sanity turns me off. Too many sections where you can't make out what the guitars are playing and you can only hear rhythm and blasting.

Imo, you will probably like the first Defeated Sanity a lot better. Second one will really only appeal to people who like average but well played brutal death. The first is more dynamic and interesting.
