Building a Linux computer, what parts should I use for programing

Hi, I'm building a computer in the near future with Linux OS. I just wondered what parts I should use if I'm going for programing.

I love the Gigabyte Overclock series mobos but they say their for Windows only, is their still a possibility I could use Linux Ubuntu still on this mobo?

What should I use?
