Building a nice studio desk.

I built a snake into mine, plus I don't know if you remember or not but I also mounted puck lights on the bottom of the bridge.

I just got size ideas from my gear, and drew it up on my own. You could always get the dimensions from some argosy desks or something, and just copy it.

Yeah. I just can't decide which one. Herman Miller would be nice, but I can't justify dropping that kind of cash on a chair.

Gluing/doweling the top table.

This is what it will look like when done. Jet black, with grain still showing. This piece doesn't have the gloss on it, so expect the end result to be a lot less flat.

Here are some more. Just did a complete test fit to make sure everything was good to go. I can't do any more work until I get the edge molding, which according to the lumber supplier may be a week or two. Until I get that, I can't glue anything, can't apply the mechanical supports, can't start the finish, and can't add the rack rails.

NEVER. Let's just say that this was an experience, and I'm never building another one . I now know why a console desk costs an arm and a leg. It's a LOT of work.
