Hey you wonderful people!

I'm in the planning stages of building a recording facility in a basement of my future home with my wife. Our goal is to make a space that is very professional yet at a budget point that would make it attractive to my local (maybe even non local) music community. I've been reaching out to my local guys to see what they would need in a space both as musicians and engineers/producers.

So I ask this wonderful community for their help with this. What do you feel is important in a space if you were to rent one out for an artist or band? All suggestions will be welcomed.

Research the web for information on acoustic treatment. Not the budget foam, but rigid fiberglass, 705-703 Owens corning panels. Lookup Ethan Winer for treatment information. http://ethanwiner.com/acoustics.html

Huge part of a good recording comes from a good room and if you have a good room, they will come.
