Can monitors lose power in terms of volume?

I have the Event SP8's. Recently, I noticed the right monitor is slightly louder than the other one (the knobs on the back are all neutral). I was just wondering if this is common or should I take the weaker monitor for repair?

I can't imagine that'd be normal with all solid-state components - sounds fishy to me...

What's your interface? It's possible that its outputs have some issue.

...or in some mixer the pan is set slightly to one side. Double check that. You can connect the monitors to the opposite outputs of the interface to see if again the same speaker is louder.
