I'm not sure but I think Per just sings live, I recall the new album's booklet saying something like "Mike - All Vocals"

Honestly if the other Pethians could growl or even scream, that could make for some good layered growls. But Mike could just record them layered himself, I'm talking for live performances.

If I recall correctly, they tried to let Peter do the backing vocals live somewhere in the past, but he couldn't sing and play guitar at the same time.

Fuck, I'd really like to hear the mMartins sing... but since their vocals are not used in Opeth I guess we could assume how good they are... If I remember correctly, DeFarfalla also did some backing vocs on Orchid, although the only clean vocal duo on Orchid I caught was the melody before the 'The only way to follow' verse in 'The Apostle in Triumph'... The second voice is unusually high for Mike though so I guess it could be true...
