Can't sleep until I ID this song...

Oh yes my dear. If you say stupid thing he will correct you. :) No just kiding, it must be very stupid (you can see some quotes... I'm thinking about Arasmas' right now).

VVV WTF? :puke:

O_O Really?

-faint-

*crosses fingers not to say anything stupid to unmask my dumbness*

Yeah, I didn't notice the "Go Advanced" button on edit mode, sorry. Sorted now.

EDIT: Wait, it changed the topic name on the actual thread page, but not on the thread name in the forum itself... weird. Guess a mod has to do it? :p

Hi there!
It´s Mikes music. How I know, I am responsible for the documentaries. Mike wrote the songs for another project I did. In the clip where they shake hands (in the beyond ghost Reveries docu), It used to be the intro Opeth use on their gigs. It can be very expensive if you don´t own the copyrights, so I changed it. On that CD, which have 8 tracks, including hip-hop beats, techno, and 70:s porn groove. Shocking right!
Maybe Mike wanted this to be a secret...

Wow! I never thought Fredrik himself would chime in...

I just hope it's not some person pretending to be him, hard to tell with no posting history, but let's not assume the worst! Thanks for answering my question Fredrik, do you remember any more details about the track I asked about, like how long it is or whether it has vocals or heavy parts? Also any other details about the 7 other tracks (wow!) on the album would really be appreciated.

Glad to have you as a member here!

Oh I almost forgot, can you tell us what the "other project" of yours is, for which Mikael wrote the songs!! Dying to know!

somehow i dont think its Fredrik Åkesson. it may be a different Fredrik, as he stated he is 'responsible for the documentaries'. i could be wrong though..

Well, I can´t find the CD to be honest with you, I know it´s somewhere. I used to work as a filmteacher and this project I was talking about was made by students, nothing big really. We didn´t have a filmscore and we had some local filmfestivals that were interested. So I called Mike and told him that I needed music for that shortfilm (we go way back). And he went, yeah, cool. I described what I wanted for the film and he came up with like 45 minutes of pure gold, no vocals. I mean this was a scoolproject and he came up with this. Anyway, I was very greatful. I remember there were two dark, heavy techno track, with distorted bass, that was awsome. Pretty surprising that he manage to come up with that different style of music. And those acoustic track you heard on "beyond..." all songs are around 5 min each. There was a funky track with wah-wah guitar, seventies stuff. All tunes are pretty melodic and catchy. It was pretty amazing, I just told him what I needed and he delivered. But I mean, hey, it´s Mike!:headbang:

I´m afraid not. It´s not on youtube or anything. It´s probably in my closet or something.
