If anyone has any questions about caparisons they can fire em my way..

Not on Caparisons but I've got a few for the Framus:

- What amp model do you use?

- What's the difference between the Cobra and the Dragon?

- What kind of tubes are in your amp?

- How are the cabinets?

- What should one look for in a cabinet and/or speaker?

- Does the wood of the cabinet make a difference?

After hearing Biomechanical, I really had to take notice of Framus amps.

youre right. because a 2600 dollar guitar with shipping from japan + insurance + waiting for 3 weeks= 3000.

Nah, list price is usually cut down by the dealer quite a bit, mainly because there's so much goddamn markup on all the musical instruments anyway and that noone in their right mind would pay $2600+ for a guitar that isn't a custom or some vintage tele or les paul or something to that effect.

Wow...ok,

I use the Cobra amps w/EL34 tubes.

The Dragon head has a very "Marshall feel to it, very clear sounding. Not a ton of gain on tap but sounds good when its cranked.

The Cobra head is more of a "Mesa" tone, more compressed and higher gain. A great mid tone, really cuts through the mix.

The cabs are great, very solid and stiff sounding which is good because the heads have quite a bit of low end. They come loaded w/ Celestion Greenbacks which i prefer over V30s.

You should look for a cab made out of good materials and has good build quality, it makes all the difference, be sure its a good multi-ply wood rather then MDF (patical board) which will flex and you loose the tightness, especially for heavy music.

Speakers are kind of personal choice, you need to try YOUR head through different cabs w/ different speakers to hear what sounds best w/ your EQing.

Hope that helped ya.

Caparisons prices seem high because they are still such a small company, only making about 40 guitars a month but the craftsman ship is amazing, ask anyone that has seen one in person or played one...they are great guitars and worth the money. They tend to run a few hundred higher in America because of the one single dealer and the demand.

hey pete,

as i can see you´re very active in these forum, so i ask you the the as in the absence forum:
what is the sound difference between the horus and the dellinger -i know that the standard tuning from the company is much lower, but your horuses are down tuned too (?)
so what difference delivers the wood (ebony vs rosewood)

thanks for the answer and keep on shreding...
