Census Report Thread

shameful thing is those that struggle with everyday survival and dreams of getting ahead and success, regardless the race or beliefs become caught in the distraction of "racism" "bigotry" that is exactly where the shakers and rollers want us. This distraction keeps our mind and eyes busy as those that can sneak out the back door with the fruit of our labors.

Again - until the work resourses within this country are increased by a tremendous percentage in both availability and reasonable pay scale there will never be any improvement in the distraction called "racism"

But we'll continue down the path of shaken puppets believing racism or race is the problem when catering to ones poverty only throws another down the waste drain and promotes racism.

So where do you want to focus your energy ? Into the blissful ignorance of the distraction or the root of the problem ?

but I do recognize that racist tendencies still exist, as demonstrated by some of the recent outbursts from the patriotic Tea Party movement.

What's so racist about calling people faggots and faxing noose's to black Democrats who were key people in the civil right's movement?

How the hell is that racist? It's completely stupid, yes, but not at all racist.

Someone who would automatically assume a person disapproves of Obama's policies purely because he happens to be not-white, is looking at everything in terms of race, which would make that person a racist.

Olbermann, from everything I've seen, seems to be a pretty straight and logical speaker. Granted he will show emotion in his diction, but even when he makes an emotional appeal he explains why it is valid (to a degree, like all people). I do however only know him through his monologue's, as they are usually on onegoodmove, so I get my perception of him from those - not from his sports-casting or anything else.

Garofalo I have no idea about.

Obama got elected for four reasons

Hilary was out, shes been in office and associated with some questionable occurances

Bush was a tool so the Rep was out

The Rep brought nothing to the table confirming they were out

Obama was the perfect poster boy for those that NEEDED that

same as any other election in the past 40+ years there was no good choice.

At most it seems to imply some sort of hyper-sensitivity with respect to matters of race.
