Both are pretty good, Portnoy sounds maybe more "sophisticated" here and there, but it's nice to hear Charlie play some grooves.

The best drumming I have ever seen live was Dave Lombardo. I typically don't get too excited by drummers, but when I saw Dave Lombardo going absolutely nuts on his kit during the Seasons in The Abyss set I was in awe. I don't know if Charlie is as good, better, the same or what, but I can't imagine many drummers being as good as Dave Lombardo was /is .
