This is true; Meg White seems to know absolutely nothing about drums, but she seems to be able to keep time. Lars in the double kick in One, could not. Some sections of the St. Anger rehearsals are embarrassing.lokey said:least he aint banging out white stripes drum beats, which i reckon even i might be able to play
Carcassian said:...if you listen carefully, about 2:37 into "Fight fire with fire", you can hear the distinctive tingle of "Shatners Basoon", a special tambouring type percussion device. Lars is unable to play it due to what experts have called "ineptitude", and Charlie, having studied under Suzuki-san, the founder of the kodo drummers ninja clan, was the only thrash drummer capable of playing it.
The drum tracks for that song were pasted together, it was never recorded in one take... or two takes... it took a lot of takes, if you get the picture... but it WAS Lars who recorded them, just as he did on demo for that song as well (which is quite funny, btw).johnnieCzech said:And who played on Dyers Eve? Yeah that more or less means he can't do Dyers eve. I never heard him do it, and those who have say that he ommited the kicks.
Anyway I doubt Charlie did RTL, but, I'd Imagine there was something going on behind the scenes. Fancy editing, a million takes, whatever. I can only imagine how much of a headache Justice was for James, Kirk, And Jason.
