Childhood Misconceptions.

Perhaps. I would think of the 'epitome of human expression' being something a bit more universally resonant, though.

I used to think I could see through things because I could see through my fingers when I held them up to my face. Later I discovered that's an effect of having two eyes that can see what's behind either side of it.

I used to think that too.

My old man used to have a house on one side of a train line with a highway running along the other. At night as the cars went past their headlights would send these beams of light running down the overhead cables along the train line. Not seeing the cars, I deduced I was witnessing electricity travelling down the cables.

Me too. It was so weird, because I couldn't see through walls or anything

Fucking retard.

I spent a while thinking that Red Hot Chili Peppers - Blood Sugar Sex Magic was metal. Or at least, pretty metal. In my defense, it definitely has some metal in it, at least a little bit...

I used to wonder why the tv screen didn't go black for a second when the cameraman blinked.

The first time I traveled in a plane, I thought that if I jumped up in the air while we were flying, the plane would continue to move and I would stop. I thought it'd be a quick way to get to the toilet, so I tried jumping up and down in the aisle a few times and was annoyed and somewhat embarrassed when it didn't work.

When I was kid, I never really thought people could BE filmed. I thought everything was like a cartoon. so in turn.....

I believed that movies were basically a huge series of cardboard cutouts, taken frame by frame in different positions.

If that made sense......

I always thought animated stuff was done like a flipbook, so someone had to draw every single frame from scratch...

Pfffff, see through walls - that's laughable (hah!)

I only thought I could see through my own fingers! :p

Paranoia ftw.

I was a pillhead for a while, but I stopped when I started thinking people were laughing at me in the street, and that someone was following me. That was unpleasant.

The worst is adress. I can never remember how its spelt after doing French for two years, cos they either spell it with one more or less s or d.
