There has to be some, am I right? The most christmassy song I have so far is Falling Snow by Agalloch...which isn't very christmassy. Can anyone point me in the direction of any covers or anything?

Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

Heh. Someone in my fraternity actually brought the album Christmas Eve and Other Stories over for a brother dinner last week. I was rather amazed that someone had done such a decent metal take on those musical themes, and even more amazed that someone not from the internet had introduced me to a decent-sounding metal band.

Death and the Healing - Wintersun (sounds christmassy in a way to me)

Yeah, a little.

In Flames recorded a Christmassy song, but it's really hard to find. Floating around on the internet somewhere. About thirty seconds long. Not worth the trouble.

Exhumed do an amazing cover of 'No Presents for Christmas'. best metal Christmas song I've heard.

Of course there's Ulver's song 'Christmas', but that's neither metal nor very christmassy.

I know some dudes in a punk band who were working on an album called The War On Christmass, but then they turned into a free jazz jam band.

Twisted Sister - A Twisted Christmas

sadly, I couldn't find anything much heavier. I believe you can get a heavy metal christmas album off amazon, but I haven't heard any of the bands on it, which isn't a good sign.

Not metal, but the Exploited song called 'The Mods' is to the tune of Jingle Bells. It's completely inane, but that's part of the appeal:

'Kick a mod, kick a mod, kick a mod today, how much fun it is to kick a mod until he's dead...'

If you replace 'mod' with 'emo' you kind of get the modern translation.
