Sabbath is a metal band consisting of Christian musicians. "After Forever" is a bible humping song, but otherwise the promotion of Christianity is not a dominating theme in Sabbath songs.

pretty much this. although Christianity is an underlying influence in a lot of their songs (N.I.B, Black Sabbath, etc.)

This is not an anti-Christian sentiment. It's an anti-religion sentiment. Yes Virgin Black came loosely from the Christian metal scene, and oddly enough they and Discarnated share a member.

That Discarnated is pretty rad, but the production is ear splitting on the treble. It's also hyper-rare.

Extol is a good band.

Horde!!!!!!!!!

The Crucified is some of the best crossover ever.

Betrayal is a unique thrash band.

Veni Domine is good doomy/power metal, maybe somewhat akin to early Fates Warning, but not as unique, and different.

Some of the best Christian metal was underground.
