Circle II Circle - Feb 2nd - Exclusive Atlanta Show!

Don't procrastinate, y'all -- Rick's right; tickets start flying for any good show the two weeks prior. Inviolate's got a big show the day before, but I'm going to get at least two of my guys to come (telling them their best bet is to nab their tix on TA *now*) and I'm totally looking forward to bellydancing my little heart out to some awesome metal :D
Thanks for backing me up on that! Sounds like you have experience in this matter too! :kickass: Looking forward to some metal bellydancing!

And of course, I was kiddin' anyway. (A double-entendré joke, since I have no problem with death vox, and I don't drink. Much. :))

EDIT: looking back, I wasn't actually referring to either Odin's Court or EbS, just cracking a joke about the good ol' days of ProgPower, when Glenn would announce an 'oddball' band (back then, that always meant some death vox) and the "I'll be buying CDs/drinking/rearranging my sock drawer" posts would start flyin'. :heh:

Corpsepaint!
 I thought you were combining both the PP reference and using one of bands as an example. Its all good. See ya in less than two weeks!

and the best news is that with all of the refurbishing lately, there is also the rule of NO SMOKING inside the music venue! WooHoo!!!

The bar and grill side of things still allows smoking of course, so all the smokers can take a break between bands. But at least now the smoke won't be in the room clouding up everything and also bothering the singers by the end of the night. :)
As an avid non-smoker, that is AWESOME news!! They are getting ready to start the no smoking policy in MD bars on Feb. 1, I can't wait for that too!

It's all good. I totally understood you were doing the generic complaint that is often seen around here when Glenn announces bands...

I cannot even begin to express how happy I am that I can attend concerts now without choking to death! :headbang: There was a punk smoking on the floor last year at ProgPower that I almost said something to, but I refrained. I've learned to select my battles more wisely in my old age! ;)

I appreciate everyone's sentiments and support of the new NO SMOKING rule at The Local Venue. I'm probably more happy about it than anyone. But before this thread turns into something ugly, let's turn our attention back to the show itself...

less than two weeks and counting!

GOT TICKETS?
:kickass:

I have never before seen the 3 opening acts, so I am looking forward to seeing them almost as much as C II C. Zak is one of my all-time favorite vocalists.

Awesome! I've seen HW twice so far, but I'm really looking forward to seeing them unveil their new stage show! I've seen OC many times! I've never seen Eclipsed by Sanity, so that will be cool. I have luckily seen Circle II Circle twice too. Zak is also a favorite singer of mine! The only thing that made the private Jon Oliva Wednesday night set better than it already was (at this ast PP), was Zak coming out and singing some too! Of course having them there for karaoke was awesome as well! I'm so glad I came down an extra night early and saw that show!

So yeah, this will be an awesome night! :headbang::headbang::headbang:

RP, what side of the stage are you usually on during your shows? I wanna be right in front of you!:headbang: I have met Zak and thought he was very cool and down-to-earth. Sorry I missed that Wednesday night gig. See ya soon!

Stage left (to your right). Thanks!

Yeah, he does seem pretty down-to-earth. Yeah, that was an awesome show! We cut it close too (even though we got on the road @ 9 that morning) and missed part of the beginning, but at least we didn't miss all of it!

Indeed! Its coming up fast now!

Right on! Just look for me directly in front of you when you hit the stage! Se ya there!:headbang:

She is good at it, too. I saw Inviolate a few weeks back, and she can bellydance with the best of 'em both onstage and off!:headbang:

(blush)
Okay, making a brown girl blush is quite the feat :D

Yeah, Inviolate's noticed an uptick in our ticket sales for the 2/1 show now that it's only a couple of weeks before (7thSaviour, sorry you can't make this one, not to worry, there will be others!) :) On Saturday I won't be onstage with HW, most likely -- I'll be happily bellydancing in the crowd amonst y'all -they have a few things they're planning to surprise us with, so *those* will be (one of the many) highlights of their show.

Shoutout to Pathfinder for taking the time to post Myspace bulletins about the Inviolate show -- we really appreciate it, especially since you're working so hard to get the one at the Local out there. One full weekend of face-melting metal, y'all!! :D
